December 18th 1996.
I was all of eight years old, sitting in the stands at Hillsborough. Watched Wednesday and Man U play out to a 1-1 draw. It was amazing hearing the supporters sing the entire time, even if it was the same few lines over and over and over and over again.

Arsenal at Highbury in 1999. Remember all the songs and the stadium moving a good bit. This is probably a big sin, but I have no idea who they played against. Some small team that got killed. Technically I was an Arsenal fan before going, but that sealed it. Obviously, still an Arsenal fan.

In 1999, Real Madrid paid Fenerbahce an absurd sum for a Bosnian winger named Elvir Baljic, something like $20 million at the time. Part of the transfer involved Madrid bringing their A team to Istanbul in pre-season and playing a friendly.
For Fenerbahce, it was hitting two birds with one stone. Get your team ready with some high quality opposition and collect a lot of money for an appealing match.
Madrid won 3-2 and Baljic scored a goal for Madrid. Probably the only time a player got an enthusiastic standing ovation for scoring against Fenerbahce
It was cool for me. I was 14 years old and got to see Raul, Morientes, Hierro, Seedorf, Suker, Roberto Carlos, Redondo (I think), and some other world class players. It was right before Real signed Anelka from Arsenal, and they went on to win the CL that year, I believe.
