As far as real actual wide wingers go, who do we have? Not Jones. Not Kljestan.

Zusi? Is that it?

Zusi is a center mid who can play as a central winger.

Josh Gatt
Landon Donovan
Joe Gyau

I like Gatt for his speed, but I've never seen him maintain the ball. He's a turnover machine. He'll improve though.

I think Donovan is done.

Is it time to start bringing in Gyau? He's pretty young too.

Shea was the one I was missing in my head. We could have really used him today.

Klinsmann started Gatt against a much better Russia side and came on against Canada, but didn't call him into this fixture.

He's raw, but quick enough to get by shitty Central American fullbacks.

I think Joe Corona can play out wide, but again he's another center attacking mid.

Donovan isn't done according to Bruce Arena. I think he's just on his sabbatical.

JK would have had to play those guys more last year for them to play now, I think.
Hard to fault him for not playing them them, though. Gyau wasn't playing for club IIRC, and wasn't Gatt hurt?

What is Bruin's best position?

Bruin is a slow center forward. So no he wouldn't have helped us today. Herculez Gomez is a better option out wide. At least he plays there for Santos when both his manager opts to start Oribe Peralta up top.

Gotcha. I was asking because I didn't know. I think he came on and played on the wing against Canada, but I'm not positive.

What about Pontius and DeLeon?

Chris Pontius and Nick DeLeon would be nice options, but neither were called into January camp. Pontius was injured, and DeLeon wasn't invited. If those guys have a smidgen of form at the start of MLS in March, they're worth a look from Klinsmann, especially Pontius.
