And people are still melting down over Jurgen.
Sorry Doods, just can't get myself worked up over a win.
I like Ives' line up for this game.

That field we played on was a shite patch. Now tomorrow, we need to play well. Jurgen should have had the foresight to call in Lichaj as cover for Fabian Johnson so we're not stuck with Boca out there.
It may be kind of a blessing that Jermaine Jones is suspended tomorrow.

The field conditions anywhere in CONCACAF outside of Mexico, USA, and Canada are truly abysmal.
There's no doubt in my mind UEFA wouldn't allow 99.99% of the nations in our region to host competitive matches.

Then why the frick do we have to go play on those shite fields?

That lineup looks nice, other than having no speed (not that our callups have this possibility) but especially with jones out and us needing a draw I see klins putting beckerdreads out there somewhere, probably over Sasha

Jones is a good player, he's just insane. His tendency to do something stupid is what hurts us. Danny Williams is the same kind of physical player as Jones but I think he may actually be capable of rational thought.

people on this board tend to embellish Jones' poor play.
he does get way too many bad yellow cards, but in terms of his ability to play soccer he's still one of our top options in the midfield.

I don't think he's a bad player. I think he's a red card waiting to happen though. Against a team full of Carlos Ruizes it might be best that he can't play.

This.
No doubt Jones has talent, but when was the last time we saw 90 minutes of it without a booking?
Posted on 10/15/12 at 12:34 pm to WarSlamEagle
He tends to try to do too much. And it seems that gives the ball away needlessly too.
Posted on 10/15/12 at 12:36 pm to WarSlamEagle
To be fair, Danny Williams is probably one of the most booked players in the Bundesliga.

Yep, him being 10% better than his backup is great and all... Until he gets a red card with 30 left to play.
Which he is about twice as likely to get one compared to one of the other CDM's

what about Klejstan and Bradley paired together in the middle.
does that just make too much sense?

I don't know about that. I'm sure the fields look great beforehand. After about five minutes of play, not so much. I don't know what all goes into play to deem a field acceptable, but I imagine that it doesn't involve stress tests. Anyone remember the horrible turf in Detroit during the Gold Cup?

I don't think so. Both roam a little too much to be paired together, and we don't have a back four talented enough to compensate for that.

I don't agree with any of that, at all, sorry.
edit: except that our back line is sub par. I do agree with that.
