VAR

I honestly don't understand the review process for VAR. Serbia should have had a penalty as well. As well as England. Just clarify on what can't or can be reviewed and when VAR can overrule the ref.

They need to either get rid of or further define "clear and obvious".


Although ultimately, I think the addition of VAR in this tournament has overwhelmingly been positive.

I don’t know but it doesn’t get any more clear, either have a system to get it right or just go back to the old way where human error is a part of it

They can tell the ref that he needs to take a look at it, but it's ultimately up to the ref to make the final call. The 4th official can't run onto the field and say we have a penalty.

They do clarify, not every time. But they have stated on the broadcast why it wasn't used in certain situations.

I guess what bothers me is, everyone knew VAR was going to be used, but it's like none of the people at Fox actually looked up the rules so they have to differ to an expert.
