Its obviously not a huge city but it is still a great place. Go to the WWI museum. Go get some barbecue. Go to the plaza. There is plenty to do if you are in for just a couple days.

At least it isn't Cleveland.

I've been to KC before. Nothing wrong with the place, but every other place the US is playing this summer is a better place to "vacation" than KC.

Cleveland notwithstanding, obviously.

For the Golazo nightb4 party.

We have a bar coming to set up at Golazo. So we will have liquor and beer.

A gaming truck is coming to set up inside the warehouse. They will have 8 50 inch screens inside them. Also, foosball.

We will have a DJ/music/Old Games up on the projector.

We will have a couple of food trucks parked outside.

Also, Cobi Jones and a Budweiser Brewmaster from CA is stopping by and will hand out drinks, n etc. Pretty stoked.

As for the Fuel pre-party

We will have drink specials including buckets of beer, 4 beers on tap (I believe) outside at the beer garden. inside you can get whatever you want. They have a ton of beer. Also, other beer n shot specials. Food specials.

Should be a fun time. We've set up a lot of things. Just wanted it to be official before I said something.

Also, I'll just say the PREGAME in the stadium will be special. USSoccer hasn't ever seen anything like it. I'll leave it at that.

ETA:

Seattle.

National anthem by Mumford and Sons, or the Lumineers?

Or would that be Portland?

Naw, both cities are virtually the same, right?

Thanks for the info. Really pumped about this trip. Dont know about the night before party as I'm sure our friends have plans for us but for pregame I'm sure we will be down there around the stadium and will try to check out that party. How early though is going to be a matter of how my wife is feeling that day (she is pregnant......with triplets.....yes I will be drinking heavily )

That response has been par for the course so far

And I really will try to make it to Fuel. And like I said on the last page, I will be wearing the Bradley red alternate kit from last WC. Wife will most likely be wearing a navy blue T with the US crest on it. Hope to see you there

What's up with 9k of the 42k tickets for this game still being available? I thought for sure this would sell out quickly in that town

I've seen one national anthem in Seattle. Guy started singing, pulled out a conducting baton, and conducted the crowd in singing.

Top 10 "WTF" moment for me.

It's a number of factors.

A.) It's a tuesday night
B.) The price is more expensive than usual due to grass being brought in.
C.) The time of the game.
D.) Price is a lot more than a Sounders game. EVERYONE goes to sounders games for cheaper and feel like they can't justify. Even though it's the first time SEA has hosted a WCQ since the 70s.
E.) It still will be one of the largest crowds for a WCQ. 32,000. with walk ups still left in a soccer city ?
