Robinson, Brooks, Miazga, Yedlin is our starting defense.

Adams has to be on the field as a 6 or 8.

Not sure if I'd have Steffen as the automatic starter. Definitely don't think Weah is an automatic starter.

Nagbe is a maybe I guess? Also a maybe is Miazga.

LB... Who the frick knows?

So far, I’d have my starting XI as follows:

Jozy
Weah Nagbe McKennie Pulisic
Adams
Moore? Brooks Miazga Yedlin
Steffen

I will say it would be interesting to see what a right side midfield combo of Pulisic and Weah would be able to put together.

Also, if Sargent can stay a consistent threat, I’d remove Nagbe and insert Sargent to play underneath Jozy but atop the mids, hopefully with interchange play between he and Pulisic.

I'd love to see a center midfield of Pulisic (10), Nagbe (8), Adams(6).

Adams-McKennie
Pulisic-Nagbe-Saief (assuming his legs haven't been amputated)

This is a thread about starting XI locks.

I mean, it's not even a lock that any of them ever play for the senior team (except for Parks, but only because he's already made an appearance).

Four years is a long time. Not too many folks knew who McKennie was before last year or Tim Weah.

I would be more concerned about Jozy being mentioned.

I don't think anyone is looking 4 years from now (even then, none of those you mentioned are locks for anything). The Gold Cup is in less than a year and qualifying is in less than two years.

Are you saying Chris Richards is a lock to beat out Brooks, Miazga, etc. by 2022? How is Parks anything close to a lock to even be on the WC team?

Brooks is always injured and will be near 30. Parks looked damn good to me in the one friendly he played for US. But hey, let's gets some 30 something MLSer instead.
