All my life I have grown up watching LSU football and baseball and been a big fan of those sports. I'm an even bigger Saints fan and love that team with all my heart. But, I must say, even through the saints Super Bowl win, and all the Tiger national championships, I've never lost my voice while screaming in joy over a score (Well, Saints Super Bowl probably, but that's besides the point). Point is, I did today! This USA team has brought a type of excitement that can't be matched, and even more importantly for me, and fans like me, it's brought a new image to the game of soccer. This sport is f'ing awesome.
Guys, I am coming to a realization. Soccer is a beautiful game, with athletes that have amazing skill. I'm in.
Go USA!!!!!
Btw we played f'ing great today! Pick your heads up! We going through!

If non-soccer fans in the US would realize watching the game is not about the 89 minutes of passing with no scoring but that 1 minute of brilliant play that leads to a goal (at least for people who don't appreciate or understand the possession aspect of it) they would really start to enjoy the game. The lack of scoring is understandably frustrating but that also leads to each goal being so much more exciting than each run in baseball or each TD in football football. Each goal is the equivalent to a walk off, buzzerbeater, or last second TD/FG.

These are the only two soccer games I have ever watched and I too have realized that soccer is awesome! But still not as good as football though

Even whenever they don't score but get down close to the goal with opportunities, it's worth the excitement.
The excitement in soccer is unparalleled.
