Based on last night, what should the lineup be?

Also of note Baby Bradley looked very mediocre out there tonight. His passing was not crisp, he made some poor judgments with ball at his feet and made a couple of silly unnecessary challenges.

For Colombia we should go with:

Cherundolo-Gooch-Goodson-Lichaj/Pearce (No Bocanegra)

Edu-Jones

Dempsey-Bradley-StuHawk

Jozy

Although a 4-4-2 with GAM would be interesting.

If we're going out wide with Stubear, I'd like to see Jose at the CAM role. I don't think he's on the roster though.

No Mexican or MLS players (besides the FC Dallas guys) are on the roster. I really want to see a match without Michael Bradley to see how we perform.

We played wide players last night but not any really true wing players . Holden was listed as one but he played pretty centrally. I have no idea how Benny played cause I didn't see him. Bedoya seemed to stay a bit more wide but I could be wrong about that.

I don't mind wide players that cut inside and play fairly centrally but the thing is you'd like to have fullbacks that can give you something attacking wise, a guy who will move into that space and provide some crosses and Boca's not really that guy. Cherundolo is more suited for it.

Is Jose ever going to be on the roster? Serious question. He needs to get experience with the midfielders asap.

MLS and the Mexican league don't take FIFA breaks like most of the leagues around the world, so that's why we aren't seeing Herculez or Paco Torres on the roster.

I thought that may have something to do with it. I really hope he gets experience soon, though.

I'm not sure how I feel about Bocanegra and Cherundolo playing. They're going to be 35 in 2014, anyone else think some younger defenders should be playing more?

'Dolo has been our best defender lately. FWIW. Until we get more talent. He needs to be on the roster.

I suppose you're right. I just feel like starting two 35 year olds at the world cup could turn out horribly. Are players like Reamm going to get a chance soon? Surely we have some young guys that could at least get a shot.

I think you'll see a lot out of Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy). I think Ream should get some USMNT opportunities though.

We're three months into a four year cycle. There is no need to worry about our aging fullbacks at this point. I'm sure we'll see BocaJuniors and Dolo in the Gold Cup and in qualification. Eventually one will retire internationally because of the age factor. We have some decent fullback prospects in Lichaj, Bornstein (yes Johnny B), Spector (has shown promise), Sean Franklin and possibly Edgar Castillo. Add in Gonzalez and Ream at centerback for our untested pool of defenders.

In the January camp or possibly for our friendly against Bafana Bafana in South Africa, we'll see some of our younger defender/s

Bocagenra and Dolo gone back to clubs. Will be nice to see other options at fullback.
