It's on DirecTV, which any self-respecting sports fan already has.

Agree. You aren't really a sports fan if you don't have DTV.

Ok but given the midfielders we have at our disposal, when do you expect that service to come?

Face it, we kind of suck and are going to have to be scrappy to get to the World Cup. Is Jozy willing to do the work? I hope so, b/c he is more talented than those that seem to be in front of him now.

At least Gomez tries to make stuff happen instead of just waiting around.

Pretty nice defensive line, just needs some experience together.

Also I heard Beckerman is being groomed for Captainship of the Gold Cup squad which actually sounds like a damn good idea, strong defensive minded captain for an MLS squad playing longballs against scrappy Gold Cup rosters.

Also some people are college kids and work with what they can get instead of purchasing DTV..

The DirecTV comment is a non-starter for me. It's for the jackasses that are playing the "if you can even find that channel" or "I don't live in an urban area" card.

BeIN isn't the Bulgarian Cooking Network 3, only available with the original 20 foot wide satellite dish. It's on DirecTV and Comcast (apparently.) I assume the "poor college student" is paying SOMEBODY for some sort of TV service, if it isn't DTV... Call a bar. "Do you have DirecTV? No? Thanks." Do that over and over until somebody says yes.

And if you live out in Bumblefrick, Alabama and are lamenting the channel choices the one shitty cable provider in your little hamlet is providing for you... Here's an idea: Trim some of the overgrowth around your trailer, take the tin foil off of your windows, shimmy up on top of the trailer, and mount a damn DirecTV dish.

The "waaaaaaahhhhhh, I can't find the game" shite needs to stop. It *might* have been valid for the first US match that BeIN broadcasted, when they had only been on the air a week.

Everybody has known for a while how the road matches would be broadcast. Everybody has had time to either get DirecTV, raise a shite storm with Cox ( ) or figure out which bar near you has DTV. Time to quit whining and get on board.

I know I made a snide comment earlier but I don't mind the fact that it is on BeIn Sports, I am more frustrated that it is at 3 on a Wednesday. I would be fine going to a bar (I have UVerse). But it is difficult to take time off this time of the year for me.

So if anyone who has Direct Tv and plans on taping it I would be happy to provide the beer on Wednesday evening

If you can get a few friends together willing to go to the bar with you, call up the bar and ask them to reshow it in the evening. They should be willing to put it on one of the back tvs.

Yeah, well that's something we can't control.

I can't leave work either.... No vacation until May. I'll be in blackout mode until I get home.

Actually, this isn't a terrible idea. I think BeIN is replaying the game at 7ish.

I'm just glad the top three advance and the fourth has an incredibly good chance to advance. I think we finish 2nd behind Mexico on goal differential. But, it's time to work and get at it. I hope Jurgen's call up don't hurt us to bad.

Evans looked much better at RB than he did at CAM. He looked lost and indecisive at CAM.

Blah blah blah, I didn't read all that shite. The point of calling out that stupid comment was to say a better statement would be "You aren't a true sports fan if you don't find a way to watch the important matches in your chosen sport regardless of your cable situation"

I don't have DTV and watch every US game, as I'm sure many others do.

Direct TV has a lot of good sports channels but if it's raining or too windy, good luck actually watching them.

The 3 pm start time does kinda suck, but they are allowing workers to leave a half day early all across Honduras so they can catch the game. It may also be a safety thing. San Pedro Sula is a dangerous place and they may want to have the game completed before the sun goes down. It's being shown on ch 729 here in TN on comcast so no problems there.

Both of them have their negatives... everyone should know how to get around them by now though.

The main problem is we wish it was more like US olympic basketball qualifiers or something, where you know that no matter your cable package or provider you will be able to watch them because this is the USFA.

I only ever lose Cox when there's a hurricane..sometimes. Where I worked, our directv feed went out every time a gust of wind got up over 10 mph. It was pathetic.
