Assuming this is a World Cup roster, you need 4 centerbacks.

I listed 4 CBs. I included two different Robinsons.

Keepers: Steffen, Horvath, Johnson/Guzan/???

Midfield: Pulisic, Adams, Weston, Bradley, Boyd, Weah, Holmes, Arriola, one more player here
Strikers: Jozy, Sargent, Wood

I’m on board with this. Only change I’d make is Zardes for Wood. I know that’s going to be an unpopular take, but Bobby has been hot garbage and no club even wants him right now. As bad as Gyasi is on the ball, I think it’s still beneficial to have him in the squad for his positioning and he clearly knows Berhalter’s system.

I’d be fine with Long in our best 23 but if we started him in a big match over a fit Miazga or Zimmerman I think I’d melt

I saw you posted about him in the Young Americans thread about needing citizenship, what's his story?

Who is the other Robinson?
Antonee is one.

Born in Colombia. Son of David Ferreira, former FC Dallas player and Colombian international (who is actually still playing in Colombia). Jesus is 18 and has been with Dallas since 2009. Signed a homegrown contract with Dallas in at the end of 2016. He's very close to getting his US citizenship. Recently played with the US U17s in some friendlies, but hasn't been able to play in an official match. Most likely would have been on our U20 WC team but he didn't get his citizenship in time. Has 6 goals and 3 assists in 19 MLS matches, and has 6 goals and 2 assists in 14 USL matches. He's the full-time starter at striker for Dallas.

Long has been our best CB in this tournament so far.

I could be hyping up Ferreira a bit too much, but it's just because our forward depth is so shite.

Ferreira seems like a guy though where, if there's any chance that Colombia is interested in him, he would choose them over US.

I'm not so sure. He's lived here since he was 8, and really seems to want to play for us. Not to mention most of his teammates roughly his age either play for the USMNT, will soon play for the USMNT, or are heavily involved with our youth teams (Cannon, Pomykal, Richards was with Dallas, Servania, Cerillo, Pepi, Gonzalez, etc.)

He also would have been in the academy at the same time with McKennie.

And even if Colombia did want him, you'd have to think it would be tougher for him to see the field for them.

If he followed his dad to Brazil in 2005, then he hasn't lived in Colombia since he was 4.

How do you figure? He’s looked pretty shaky to me. He also doesn’t seem to provide any line-breaking passes like Zimmerman or Miazga

His two goals aside, because that doesn't really matter, Long has been our fastest centerback and has the most defensive battles won.

Fair enough. I guess his bad moments are just standing out more in my mind than the other two
