This is not even relevant. We don't have the right structure to maximize the talent we have right now, which should be significantly higher than Canada (who suffer from the same issues you highlighted here). Our technical level of the players has improved, but not the technical level of the coaching staffs, which are far behind where we need to be. The right program with the right coach would maximize our talent.

I mentioned it during the game, but you could watch Dest and Musah on the ball, and it was clear how much more advanced they were than almost anyone else on the pitch yesterday. The issue became they would get into the final 3 and get dispossessed because they are dribbling pointlessly or pass to nothing. Pulisic has been having a nasty tendency to do this in his last few games too.

At one point yesterday, I watched Weston dribble right at four guys. To his credit, he got past three of them!
