And there was a ton of depth. It’s not like we had to start the same guys every match. Gave us fresh legs throughout the tourney.

I don’t remember the last tournament we rotated like this. We were swapping out entire lines. FWIW, prior to 3 cycles ago I don’t think we had defeated Mexico at this level. Now we are clearly superior. Fantastic progress and the MLS academies are doing work. Philly and Dallas TYFYS.

Having watched quite a few U20 tournaments for the last decade-plus, it's been fun watching each squad we call up gradually have less and less college players in favor of academy players, we've got to the point now for the last 5 or so years where we don't call up a single college player.
