The Guardian is reporting that Shay Given has decided to stay at MCFC, making the Schwarzer deal I was soooo sure to happen seem unlikely now. Unless Fulham have someone lined up that hasn't been reported on.

We really like David Stockdale. I say sell Schwarzer and build on Stockdale. Maybe pick up a decent back up for cheap or just hang on to the profits. I really wish we'd get a CM

We need Almunia just for the hair, they can take Fabianski. That's a guy who is completely worthless.

He has looked worthless so far this season.

Can you really say that a player from WEST HAM (who oh by the way is sitting last in the table) through 3 games is "worthless"?

He will play a lot better with quality players around him IE Cole, Torres, Kuyt, Gerrard.

He just looks old and slow. Llorente would be a much better signing for Pool.

maybe it's worth more to west ham to keep him and actually have a fighting chance to stay up, rather than sell him and be doomed

I don't think VDV is even as good as Kroos, I don't see what the point would be..

Random unreliable website is saying Gomez to Liverpool for £16m.

LINK

quote:

Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez is planning to decide on a move to Liverpool today.
Reds boss Roy Hodgson has been looking to boost his striking options and has targeted the 25-year-old as transfer deadline day looms.

Gomez is one of the most talented strikers in Germany.

Hatfuls of goals for Stuttgart, including 32 in 42 games two seasons ago, earned him a €30 million move to Bayern.

And despite being in and out of the Bayern side last season, he still managed 11 goals.

He appeared for Germany at the Word Cup and scored in a recent friendly against Denmark.

Gomez is valued at €15M-20M. (IMScouting)
