He is a stupid jackass, but he is not just a stupid jackass. He is also one of the most talented footballers in the world.

Morgan Schneiderlin still wants to leave Southampton for Spurs. He would likely take Bentaleb's spot on the field.
Ade/Soldado
Chadli - Eriksen - Lamela
Schneiderlin - Capoue
Rose/Davies - Vertonghen - Dier/Fazio - Walker/Dier
Yes. I like that a lot. Capoue in that formation would pretty much be behind Schneiderlin as a ball-winner and enforcer.

Looks like Spurs are a very slight favorite against Liverpool on Sunday. Pretty much a pick 'em. The funny thing is that the odds break down like this.
Spurs win - 13/8
Liverpool win - 7/4 (14/8)
Draw - 13/5
So according to these odds, there is a better chance for either team to win than to see a draw. Interesting.

When does tottenham start the Capitol one cup ?

Top 7 from the Premier League (teams qualified for Europe) don't enter until the third round (it is currently the second round). The draw for the third round is tomorrow. Those games are played on the week of September 22nd.

7 or 6? Isn't Man U playing right now?

Dawson to Hull is a done deal LINK

Hull City snagged the last spot in Europa League by making the FA Cup final. Arsenal won it, but they already qualified for Europe, so it goes to the runner up.
Similar to Chelsea bumping us out of CL a few years ago.

I see. Didn't realize that would impact the Capital One Cup entries.

Yeah. It still confuses the hell out of me. Here is it better explained on the Premier League website.
quote:
Generally speaking there are three UEFA Europa League places given to English clubs who fulfil the following criteria: winning the FA Cup, winning the Capital One Cup and finishing fifth in the Barclays Premier League.
However, if the Capital One Cup winners finish in the top four, their UEFA Europa League place goes to the next-highest ranked team in the Barclays Premier League (nominally the sixth-placed team).
If the FA Cup winners finish in the top four, their UEFA Europa League place goes to the runners-up. However, if the FA Cup winners finish outside the top four, their UEFA Europa League place goes to the next-highest ranked team in the Barclays Premier League (nominally the seventh-placed team).

OK, but none of that talks about the qualification spots for the Capital One Cup. It's only talking about UEFA Europa. I understand the distribution of Europa spots in England.
ETA: Here's the missing link info from Wikipedia:
So it isn't really the top 7 BPL teams that qualify, but those teams that qualify for the 7 European competition spots. You COULD have a lower level team competing in Europe based on domestic cup finishes from the prior year (i.e. Wigan last season).

Since 1996–97, teams involved in European competition during the season have received a bye to the third round; the remaining Premier League teams enter at the second round, and the remaining Football League teams enter at the first round.

Yeah. That was in my first post about it:
So the Top 7 is misleading. It's not the Top 7 in the table, but the 7 qualified for Europe in various ways.

Stream should be better and in english
Posted on 8/26/14 at 6:32 pm to Westlakeguy10
Oh definitely. I was on the money when I said it would be the worst stream we'd get all year.
This will be good, and group stages will be good. Then to the knockout round, which will also be great.
