Pretty awesome turn around from a pretty poor showing for Madrid. Hopefully this keeps up and we can get them back 3-0 or 4-1

No shame but utter frustration and what should have been. The goals we conceded over these two legs were atrocious.

Agreed. Helluva effort. Alsonso’s goal should’ve counted he was pulling back his hand. Frick.

Is something going on with Kante? He has not played to his usual high standards as of late. His inability to maintain possession allowed Modric to play that amazing ball into the area for Rodrygo's goal.

Up till yesterday I was very salty at anyone saying to offload puligoat, but after yesterday it’s pretty obvious that he’s more miss than hit. The whole team could have played better especially mendy and kante, but the “best player in US history” was flat out embarrassing

His inability to challenge for the ball led directly to their second goal. I don't know if all his years of incessant running finally caught up to him but he definitely hasn't been the same player this year, and in particular as of late.

On the flip side, Kovacic played his arse off. Solid as hell.
Refocus to Palace and FA Cup semis on Sunday and finishing top 4.

Other than the FA Cup this season is pretty much over so let's talk next year. There is the potential for massive changes everywhere.
The back line could be in for a total overhaul depending on what they end up doing with Rudiger and Silva but it seems like AC is definitely out and probably Azpi as well.
We still tracking Kounde? Also, what happened to Chalobah? I thought he was playing really well early on but has pretty much disappeared. Sarr is not ready imo, does well defending but he is awful with the ball at his feet.
Midfield- Jorginho probably out, Kovacic is a nailed on starter for me. Kante still has a place on the team but can't be counted on every game and seems to be fading some in quality. Lots of talk about Gilmour and Gallagher but are they really to step in and be counted on in big matches? I would love to see us get rid of Jorg and Barkley and try to sign a big name to go with Kovacic. RLC is a good squad player but lacks the quality to be in the first choice XI.
Forwards- Again, potentially a ton of turnover. Mount is the first name on the team sheet and Havertz seems to have found a role but Werner, Pulisic, Werner, Lukaku, Hudson Odoi, Ziyech are all expendable and probably half of them want to leave. Will be really interesting to see who we end up keeping here and what we do to replace them.
The only players we can't afford to lose are Mount, Chilwell, James, Rudiger, Kovacic, Mendy and maybe Havertz. That should be the core we build around imo. Hopefully whoever the new owners are they want to make a splash because it feels like we are really close but could potentially have a lot of instability this summer.
What are your thoughts?

Alonso gone, maybe retire or MLS?
Azpi gone back to Spain
Jorgi gone back to Italy
Lose Rudiger to Bayern probably
May lose Kovacic but I hope not
Gallagher comes back to CFC
Silva comes back on another 1year?
Ziyech looked good for a stretch, he probably will want a transfer to play more
I can’t see them doing anything with Puli unless he really wants a transfer. He is pretty valuable in the American market
There will be a lot of changes this off-season for sure

I think Rudi stays. I think he’s waiting for new owners to make an offer and wants to stay. Silva has another year here. Sarr is not good and I’m hopeful he’s sent out. Chalobah will start next season. One or both of Alonso/Christensen will be gone too so there’s lots to do back there. Johrgi is gone. Kovacic and Kante will anchor the midfield with Gallagher coming back. Not completely sold on Gilmore yet so midfield is a definite need, although I like how LOftis Cheek has played lately. We are logjammed at forward but it looks as if Mount and Kai are set there. I agree with Pulisic staying but doubt Werner and Ziyech stick around. Lukaku is a wildcard - I really don’t know. Kepa will be gone so a good backup keeper is needed. CHO is a forgotten man as well.

That would be a really good way for the new owners to get some goodwill with the fans. Hope it happens.

Liverpool better look the hell out. I think that Brentford game woke everyone up (except Rom). First things first- final blow to Arsenal’s top 4 hopes on Wed.
