Well right now we literally have three actual fullbacks in Mendy, Walker and Danilo.
Danilo can play both sides and also can slide in the midfield. If Mendy and Walker were to both go down then Fernandinho would probably be our RB and in an emergency it would be Demeaco Duhaney.
We carried four fullbacks last season and it's pretty clear Pep's intention this window was to instill depth into the side. At least two deep at almost every spot, and RB would be included in that had Alves signed, so it's safe to assume he'll want to be two deep there as well next season.
Next year, depending on how Maffeo's loan goes, and it went very well last season with Girona, however they were in Liga123, if it goes the same it would be dumb as hell to not give him a chance.
But hey, it would be a total City move to sell his arse if he's doing well in La Liga only a season before.

Candreva would most likely be a rotation utility player. He can cover for Moses at wing back as well as either forward flank.
