If he came on a free transfer that would be more believable

Meanwhile, The Mirror report that the Chilean international could be set to complete a £30m move to Old Trafford, while he would earn a staggering £400,000-a-week.

This apparently actually happening, possibly by the end of the day. Sanchez's agent supposedly gave City a final chance to match the offer and Txiki told him to frick off. Don't blame the guy for doing what's best for his client.

That £400K a week salary is what has been thrown around constantly, even with City, but that is going to be a pre-tax number.

That salary is insane for Sanchez... Whats his signing bonus?

That's the reason I didn't much weight in the rumors that we were in for him seriously...

We honestly probably won't know the exact numbers for some time.

But United obviously are offering better terms than City's offer of £13 mil salary (250K per week) and a £15 mil signing bonus if he came this month.

And that isn't even counting the transfer fee, which you'd assume will be Arsenal's asking price of £35 mil, or less than that and Henrikh.

It honestly still isn't a horrible deal. If they pay the rumored £35 mil fee, his £23 mil salary and lets say a £15 mil signing bonus that's still only £70 mil total for a pretty damn good player. Which would almost be unheard of in this current market. There will of course be an agents fee as well.

Curious how it goes down. They may be offering a massive signing on fee and lower wages, I'd think they wouldn't want to piss Pogba off, but they may be about to offer him a new deal anyways. I think he's only on like £150K a week wages.

£400k a week is just absurd. That would just frick up any kind of wage structure and put him as third highest paid player in the world I believe, behind Messi and Neymar.

Makes more sense for them to pay more in a sign on bonus while keeping his wages somewhat on par with everyone else

£400K/week pre-tax is only around like £230K a week after taxes hit.

It really isn’t a huge number. Rooney was on £300K/week last year. Zlatan I think SCH said was on like £350K

I want him at United as I see at least one rift between him and the bus driver.

I love Alexis as a player and wanted him desperately to replace Suarez...

Salary aside, I’m not sure how well he’d fit into this side.. how would he take being rotated? Maybe I’m putting too much into the attitude I’ve seen of late at Arsenal..

But yeah, fee wise... id pay it... idbe a little cautious of a contract over 3 years...

But he isn’t coming here... so moot point

Apparently he wouldn't talk to Wenger for a few days after being subbed out of games. No telling how he will act if he doesn't get to start every game.

Are you talking like Rooney and Zlatan’s wages? If so, I have no idea.

Rooney was never on £300k that was a made up lie in the press

Zlatan was on pretty high wages last year but that happens when a player comes on a free. Bc the club saves money not paying a transfer fee

£400k a week for Sanchez is definitely not true, like I said it would be some what believable if he was coming on a free. I definitely see him get at least £250k a week. But apparently Arsenal had been offering crazy wages too, he just wants out.

Yeah 400 is a shocking number. But like you said, you are getting him at a discount no matter how you look at it. He is going to likely be the highest paid player there.

And there is nothing wrong with that, we would do the same if he was coming to City.

This makes sense. And if he’s that worried about getting paid then just give him a signing bonus up front, but that would probably also depend on what the fee to Arsenal would be.

Media in Chile is reporting its a €28 mil transfer fee for Sanchez with wages of £350K/week. Mkhitaryan is also included in the deal, but apparently he doesn’t want the move
