I don't think thats accurate...
So letting a player from one of the largest clubs in the world leave for 800K isn't essentially saying that?
As far as I know, most big teams value talent and won't let young talent walk away unless they don't see them fitting into the first team. United is a club that doesn't have to get rid of anyone if they don't want to.
It was a mistake by Fergie and it happens, but United are United and can eat a mistake like this with pocket change and still come out on top through merchandise and player branding.

Fingers crossed there is a buy back clause with the price being so low.

That's mega bucks for us this year.

Does that mean Kone to EFC is [On][Off]?
Posted on 8/10/16 at 8:30 am to Dead End
I don't see how Moyes thinks McNair is a replacement for Kone.
McNair has tons of potential but is still raw as a CB. His best position isn't even playing in the back four.
He's a midfielder.

Paddy McNair is such a top tier name.

I doubt Kone goes. He's come out and said he wants to stay and is waiting on a new contract on video. Lot of speculation that agent is using Everton to get bigger contract. Hopefully we tell them to frick right off for that chump change if that's a legit offer.

He walked on his own, they wanted to keep him... It came down to first team PT..
I'm not saying it wasn't a mistake, but it certainly wasn't because they didn't think he was good enough..

Yea that's pretty much on point. I dunno what Mcbro was talking about.
SAF said he wasn't going to get the role he wanted so he left and we got compensation for a under 23 leaving on a free. Nothing more than that.

tell Bridcutt to stop being a frickboi and defer those wages

I've enjoyed some people automatically including the wages and additional fees for this Pogba deal, as if this is how we refer to transfers all the time.

Yea man agent fees are sooo included in transfers. Which apparently we won't be paying all of it.

Only b/c of United or if you read the DM.

I feel like they're spoken about like this in just about every huge signing.
Everyone says City spent 49 or 50 mil on Sterling when it was only 44 mil and could only reach those higher numbers through add-ons.
Granted though, the other one that comes to mind is Martial.

DM has done it a lot with City, United and a few other clubs. But legit sources will say the fee then add ons separate. But lots of papers have been running with the 100 million + to be click bait.

Lol okay, so this is straight from a Yahoo article:
I can now see why Raiola wanted such a large fee for his work, adding a clause to get your old employer to purchase you a 5mil house is grade A agent work
quote:
Juventus will not receive the total fee, however, as Pogba's agent Mino Raiola receives a huge fee for finalising the deal, believed to be €25m. In fact, it was Raiola's fee that was reportedly holding up the deal.
A further €5m will go towards purchasing a house for Pogba

Are you paying those fees? Then yeah, it's part of the transfer. The player cost 89, but the transfer cost 100+.
