Great to hear!

And regarding the transfer window, I really don't think we absolutely need anybody, but it would be nice to get one or 2 guys in to freshen the squad up.
Still think Lucas is poised to have a great campaign.

£25 million to new billionaire owners ain't a thang.

ETA: And I believe the correct phrase is "Reassigned."

Stop living up to your nickname and pay up then. At one point Spurs supposedly offer Onomah plus £3million....

James Maddison went for £20-22 million, that as much as anything set the market, we aren’t desperate for cash anymore so why would we sell like we are? He’s also got 2 years in his contract so we don’t risk losing him for nothing next year

“Poch says club have received no bids for their players today. On incoming players he said: "I think it's so difficult now. Only four hours to the end. I don't have news now. Sure it will be difficult. Until you finish the game you can't say it's the end. It will be difficult."

Well the only bright side of not bringing anyone in is we don’t lose any big names like Toby and Dembele from the squad, even worse to a PL rival

They can still leave over the next month.
PL clubs can still sell once it's closed.

This, however, is refreshing.

yeah, this has been a pretty depressing process.

first time i've paid attention to a transfer window really, and i get that it's no small feat that the majority of the squad still remains with players like kane & son signing new contracts, as well as pochettino, but not bringing anyone in is placing an awful lot of pressure on young players to progress even more to just hopefully maintain the clubs place in the league. i know levy is notorious for being a bastard of a negotiator, but it seems this time it has bit him in the arse.

still excited for the new season, but realistically it feels like the best case scenario is just another top 4 finish. i clearly don't see a shot at the league title. i was hoping with the new stadium, in for a penny in for a pound sort of a mentality would take over, but levy was unable to even land a championship league player.

I don't know about that.
If I'm Amos, Skipp, or Marsh I'm licking my lips right now.

But with that being said, I wish we would've signed at least one player. Just for the sole purpose of keeping players on their toes.

Other than that, I'm really not worried about anything. I feel like other clubs would be at meltdown levels right now.

I think another concern everyone has is because there weren’t even any depth signings either.

With a lot of our star players playing really deep into the World Cup this summer (Kane, Alli, Dier, Trippier, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweiheld, Dembele alone in the semi finals) injuries are going to be a MAJOR concern for me the first two months of the year.

Kane
Son Eriksen Lucas
Sissoko Dier?
Davies Jan Sanchez Aurier
Lloris

Bench: Dele, Llorente, Dembele?, Amos, Trippier,

OUT: Lamela, Wanyama, Winks all hurt

Should be good enough to beat Newcastle, but I think we all remember the 5-1 beatdown to end the season a couple years ago.

I could see Poch starting Son up top and letting Kane rest and bring him on in the 60-70 min time frame if needed.

And NO, you're got getting Ryan fricking Sessegnon. He will be our centerpiece for years to come, and if you don't believe that, Fulham just signed FIVE players, albeit a couple on-loan, in the waning hours of the window. Shahid Khan and Tony Khan are freaking SERIOUS, If Spuds do get Sess. one day, it will easily be 75,000,000 at this point given how good he already is and how much better he may become.

My best friend is Spurs. Spurs and other fans have soft spots for us because they're accustomed to poaching our best talent...Dembele, Dempsey come to mind immediately. Liverpool tapping up Dempsey prior to that move, Celtic coming in for the OTHER Moussa Dembele, and ManU coming in for Brad Smalling long ago also still rankle.

Tony Khan isn't playing around now, and all the "linked with" rumours in the press constantly about Sess. and Spurs, has had many on edge and angry for the entire summer, and even back to the January window.

For once, we've actually spent like we mean it, and are assembling a squad to succeed...+/- 10th spot.

So, two sentences from ONE supporter is all it takes to lose soft-spots, these days? I like Spurs because of my friend, but I'm not blind to what they've taken/bought from FFC, and I completely understand the other supporters' wanting little to to with Spurs. I guess being an American who's never been "in it" I can see past it a little.

To be fair, none of us mentioned Sess in this entire thread, but yeah I don't blame you about being on edge about that all summer

Hopefully your lot can gel in time.
Fulham and Wolves are both poised to shake things up this year.
Craven Cottage is still one of my all-time favorite grounds.

ETA: Take that soft-spot comment with some tongue-in-cheek

Yes, that's how I meant it, our supporters.
I am the admin. of a very large, but unofficial, FFC group on FB. So, I read a lot, which is why I say there's little love for Spurs amongst our lot.

There's still a great deal of resentment over Dembele and Dempsey, even if we got fair market value for Dembele, it was because Levy's offer triggered his release clause. Fulham were already in the mess by that time with al-Fayed looking to sell, and Martin Jol making poor choices in his buying.

I haven't read this entire thread, and it's you're likely right that noone HERE talked about Sess., however, in the press, it's been a constant drumbeat since January. This leads to the impending doom mentality as we've seen it over and over again with the idea that Fulham are a "farm team." I mean look who we had and lost to bigger clubs in the last ten years or so:
Steed Malbranque, Brad Smalling, Edwin VanDerSar, Louis Saha, Dempsey, Dembele, Dembele, just off the top of my head, this morning. To be fair, some of the players we've lost over the years, had tremendous success at Craven Cottage, then took the money, ran, and didn't measure up.
