Time to hate Messi

I dont hate Suarez because what he said to that French douchebag evra. I hate Suarez because although he is an undoubtedly talented player the dude acts like a Mexican all the time. Messi, by contrast, is probably the best natured superstar I've ever seen. Always smiling, never complaining to refs and never getting drawn in to confrontations when things get chippy or he gets kicked.

Drenthe last played against Messi in Spain last year. The Spanish press also reacts to racial claims just as a sensationally as the English (see Marcelo vs. Busquets "Mono" incident). Why is Drenthe coming out with these claims over a year later, and to a less than reputable newspaper in the Daily Mirror?

The only thing to take from it is that Latinos often identify people by their skin color while playing football. I've been called gringo and guero many a time playing against the Mexicans in the park.

Suarez, allegedly, pointed to Evra's skin and called him "negro" in a derogatory fashion several times.

Character matters in the court of law, and the court of public opinion. It cost Suarez in his incident, and probably will get Messi out of this one.

ETA: Royston Drenthe also is a complete idiot, who just lost a chance at redeeming his career by signing a long-term deal with Everton for multiple disciplinary problems
