Weirdest career in USMNT history.
Dude played for Bob right after the 2010 World Cup (the last remaining active USMNTer who played with Landon Donovan) and was part of four World Cup cycles only to not make his first World Cup appearance until he was 34 and then captained the side when he was 38.
In the last two World Cups, he has played more minutes than any other USMNT player.
Definitely has his deficiencies, but credit to him, he squeezed ever last bit of his potential and turned that into a Premier League level player.
Salute. He's come a long way from looking like a lost puppy in the 2011 Gold Cup.

Its not reams fault we had noone better to run out there tonight. He gave his all. Had a solid world cup as well. Props to him!
He did more to help us win world cup games than anyone here can say

I did some research and there’s 19 million males in the USA between the ages of 25 and 32.
Not fricking one of them would be a better choice than Tim ream? A country of 500k found 11 guys that almost took out Argentina. How the frick do we suck this bad

Ream is the poster child for youth player development in the US. 38 year old dinosaur starts on a WC team because there’s nobody better in a country of 330 million people. We should be ashamed.
