Back-to-back days...some of the most intense drama in all of sports...and, instead of enjoying it with people in your home area or country, you're part of the celebration with the entire world.

You think people continents over got this excited over the "World" Series or the Super Bowl? Nope.

It doesn't get any better than this...except for the World Cup, probably. There's a reason why this is the world's most popular sport.

This is the first year I have started following soccer in depth. It is now by far my favorite professional sport over any American sport.

Kaka should have asked Jesus for some more help on that PK.

You're fighting the good fight, my friend

I will watch a shitty club match over any shitty NFL game 10 times out of 10.

Three years ago, my friend corrected me because I thought Chelsea Arsenal was a club. Now I'm actually starting to get into Arsenal (like everyone else on here pretty much), although I wouldn't call myself a fan just yet.

US Soccer in the World Cup is what really brought me into it.

I've learned an unbelievable amount in the past year. I play FIFA a shitload and got FSC. Now I know a good bit of the Starting 11s for most of the important teams in the UCL, especially the teams in the semifinals as well as other obvious clubs.

If you have told me a year ago that I would watch every single match played by an EPL club, I would have laughed in your face. I still have a lot to learn about the game as far as strategy and I'm not very familiar with other leagues (other than the big name UCL clubs) but I really have fell in love with the game over the past year.

Tru dat. Same here. Never knew what I was missing out on. I am actually trying to plan on going to the WC in Brazil in two years.

And I'm not a great athlete but one of my biggest regrets is quitting soccer after 5th grade. I wish I suck with it so I could try to play in HS. Now, my friends and I, most of which didn't play soccer in high school, play pickup all the time. And I've played indoor at that premier center down HWY 30.

If I have sons I'm gonna make them stick with it.

I just wish these games were on weekends so I wasn't stuck following the gametracker at work.

At least they moved the final to a Saturday.

Both games were incredibly competitive and entertaining. Torres's goal was easily the best single moment in sports for me this season.

I will say soccer is the only sport I've seen my high school Spanish teacher talk smack about on Facebook. Posted on my wall today, haven't talked to her in a year or two...just to rub CR7 and Kaka's penalty misses in my face. Even though I'm not a Real fan, that still stung. You don't often get smack talked at from a Colombian woman with two small children over a baseball or football game...

I was telling some friends about these last two games over a dinner party last night.

I ended up explaining the difference between national teams, clubs, country leagues, Champions League, etc.

I did get the "didn't we win the World Cup a few years ago?" comment..."yes we did, women's".
