I just hope he and his tender little groin heals nicely in the next 6 weeks or so. It was nice to see him score a WC goal. If he's still alive in 2014, he'll easily be the frontrunner for the golden boot.

Just a point of order:
I think there should be an award named after Ian Darke.
In reality, he was the best part about this entire World Cup. Only Al Michaels and maybe Bob Costas doing a Yankees/Red Sox game compare to Darke's PBP abilities.

I am somewhat sad my part-time job forced me to work while watching the games rather than post here with you fine folks.
I had such plans for domination that never came to fruition.

Good call. Story of my summer.
Excuses: I've been working 30 hours a week and spending the others split between two internships. I've been getting laid 24/7. My dog ate my computer. I had explosive diarrhea. Wimbledon was on. I was too depressed to post after I found out Kenny Cooper wasn't coming. My server was down. I would have watched, but I was too busy watching pr0n.

As long as self promotion is allowed, how about my prediction that Nigel De Jong would commit a horrible foul in the final and be sent off. And the Spanish would capitalize with the man advantage. Just because the referee failed to impose the correct penalty and waited until extra time to send off a different Dutch player doesn't make my prediction any less accurate (except for the 2-0 score I predicted).
