I'm sure this will sound like sour grapes but I am glad this worked out this way.
That is a lot of money for an 18 year old striker with 13 goals in 65 games in the Championship who wasn't even good enough to make the England U-21 squad that just got embarrassed.
If we would have matched it we would reinforce the new reputation of over paying for transfers.

I agree that's a lot of money for Wickham...but he was on U21s, so Im assuming thats why he wasnt on the U18s
