Even though Stadium was almost half empty (and should be. Wenger must go.) included a rare pk save. One of the GOAT. A great goalie, consummate professional and team leader. First goalie in premier league history to get there.

Of course, all this is wasted with Wenger. But Cech still has it.

Please change thread title to “its time for Wenger to go” in support of the protest.

They did play well today but too little too late

Like I was saying. Elneny was solid today.

Arsenal played much quicker today and it was Elneney that really looked good. Ozil is getting into space and when he does good things happen.

I don't know that it qualifies as a key pass, but his ball to Kola that led to the Auba half-chance because Kola didn't put it in the right place was brilliant.

I'd love to see how much ground he covers. He and AMN were critical to beating the press because of their pass-and-move instincts. AMN is already a better passer than Hector (although he is worth a mistake or two every game).

Would like to see Xhaka-Elneny-Ramsey midfield vs. Milan. Don't know that I've seen that look, but with Ozil-Mikhi that could have some potential.

Xhaka and Elneny is probably the most balanced duo we've put out. Elneny's work rate and mobility covers for Xhaka's defeciencies in those two areas. It also helps when Xhaka actually plays hard and more disciplined like he has the past 2 matches. I wouldn't be opposed to trying a Elneny/Jack/Ramsey trio to see how that would work.

Yeah I'd like to see that trio as well. It has a good mix of skills. Enough technical quality. Ramsey has the late runs. Elneny is the definition of the pass and move midfielder. And Jack can drive from deep, which something we use to do so well with Diaby, Cazorla, and Rosicky respectively.

Watching Man U today, I am so glad Alexis is gone. I shudder to admit it, but Arsene was right. He is a head case. Tevez without the big game nous.

Tevez was 10 times the player Alexis is, easily.

Good to have Monreal and Hector back. With Laca almost back this lineup is looking decent enough to make a deep run in Europa. Thats IF we play like we have the past couple matches.

Agreed. Need to get off to a good start and give them no hope.

Wilshire named to the Three Lions for upcoming friendly may have an extra bounce in his step. Come on Stan...write the man a check and let's keep him!

I genuinely hope we draw Red Bull Leipzig. The look more shaky in the back than our guys do.

Hope Xhaka can stay composed and not have to worry about doing too much today. If he starts to falter we need to bring in Elneny ASAP, I don’t care if we’re 8 minutes into the game.
He did well last Thursday and Sunday though, so maybe he’ll keep it up.
Glad to see the mid 3 with Jack and Rambo again.

What’s y’alls predictions for today?
