We have ten members, so if anyone needs to bring up any rule changes, then now is a good time. I will read the rules from last year to see if changes are needed and create a new "league site" for this season.

A new thread will be created for the slow draft. I will use a random draft generator to determine the order and post the results on the soccer board. I guess we could get it going as early as tomorrow, but I would start no later than Monday.

Everyone needs to register or re-register with the fantasy premier league site. It is link somewhere with the OP. It will give you the pool of eligible players as well as the very important watch list feature once the season is underway. Plus, you can look at their prices to see how they value players.

Cool, got you on the list. We need one more person to form the Championship.

Again, this is separate from the official fantasy site. This is a self-run fantasy football style league.

Anybody know of any sites that rank EPL players based on fantasy value? The fantasy EPL site just ranks them by total points from last year.

The site also ranks them on dollar (pound) value for this season. The system is not perfect, but it gives the highest price to guys like RVP and Aguero. That is the closest you will get to pre-draft rankings.

Plus, I would use last year's draft results for advice. Of course, you have to be weary of players changing their role.

We need some of the graphics guys to design a first place avatar reserved for the winner of the league. And hopefully the winner of the cup.

I am sure we could get someone to do that. I am going to use the logo from last year again for the league thread.

The big thing is to get a commish for the Championship and hopefully one more person will be interested in joining in. This league is ready to start drafting once the order is randomly selected.

Way ahead of you. I'm already working on an avatar and sig image for last season's winner based on the league logo I created last year.

Yeah, that would be 10 for the championship. I will definitely help out, but someone (or more than one) will need to step up and run things.

With my experience in the championship from last year, I would suggest a few things for that group that the Premier League may have already figured out.

One voice/commish that decides things clearly and up front. He can ask for opinions, but just needs to go ahead and make the decisions. When I took over, I asked for a vote too often and it hard to make a shared decision when only two other express an opinion. I should have just gone full hard arse and did the things I thought best, but didn't think I had the authority.

There should also be one or two other guys who help - update the weekly match-ups sheet, etc.

It may be best if they can get a "waiting list" so that when one inevitably drops out, you invite the next guy in. And you need hard rules about being removed. Its not hard to say - "I have a ton of stuff going down the next 10 days, my teams remain the same for the next week, and I ask someone to fill in my points." rather than just not posting for two weeks in the thread. Obviously if thats happening all the time for one guy, he may need to be removed as no one needs to be consistently calculated someone elses points.

Just my thoughts...

I think we had all of that figured out last season. We all pretty much went with what the commish said if there was a dispute. We had a few instances when scoring lagged for some guys, but others members would step up and take care of that if needed.

Yeah, thats why it was a suggestion for the championship commish as you guys operated fairly well. If the Championship commish is a newbie, they need to know what they are getting into. For a few reasons, the championship people may be a bit lower on the interest level than the PL people and I think there's potential for more hands on commish needed.

One of the members of the Championship needs to step up and be commish for their league. It would probably be best if it is someone with fantasy experience and posts on this board a good amount. I would think St. Augustine, svb, and AirRaidTT would all make good choices.

Premier League slow draft begins Monday morning unless you guys want to start earlier.

There will be a separate thread for the slow draft and the season long thread. Also, the Championship will have separate threads as well.

The one thing I like about the sandwich picks is that I can make them both and not worry about anything up for a while.

I would be fine starting now to be honest even if we only get a few picks done today.

We've got tons of time. I'm fine with starting today. Especially since the work week will go a bit slower. Although I haven't had any time to get a list together of players I want.
