What's up your a-hole stew? She got booed every game for years, constantly gets abused on Twitter and can't tell them to be quiet? Get over it.
Also CanFan I'm sure the racial abuse was from some backwards assholes online not at the game but I'm sure she is just a little upset at all the Canadian fans.

She can tell them to be quiet. Still an a-hole move. If it's not, tell me you wouldn't boo the frick out of Rossi if he did the same thing.
If that's her attitude, no wonder the Canadian fans boo her. She was born and raised in Canada until she was 15, and wonders why people are pissed she chose the U.S.
I'd have no problem if she scored and ran to her teammates with a smile. Instead, she taunted every Canadian watching by holding up the U.S. crest and shushing them. That's classless and uses the U.S. crest not to show pride, but to incite.
I'd even be alright if she apologized, but instead, she makes excuses about racial slurs. True or not, it doesn't give her a right to shite all over the country she was born and raised in.

This.
The ignorance shown by some about this topic is comical. They mad

Wow you're really mad. You do realize her father is American and although she did go to school in her early years in Canada, she was constantly back and forth to the U.S. and Canada. Regardless it's her right to choose which country to represent considering that she holds dual citizenship and obviously feels closer to America.
It's cute how mad you are though.

I didn't really love the shushing thing, but I didn't give it any thought after it happened. To me the whole thing's pretty much a non-issue if she just said it was because of all the booing.
That's not what she said though. I'm sure she takes some abuse online, but she said "chanting racial slurs." She shouldn't just be throwing that around unless it was 100 percent true and it happened at that game.

So now we're all calling her a liar as well? Is it really that much of a stretch that she heard someone in a large crowd chanting something racial? If even one person did I'm sure it stuck out. I'm still entirely confused why peoole are so up in arms here

I am not calling her a liar, i am saying that maybe she did something a little less than classy and she went looking for a bit of 'poor me' to make herself feel better...now USWT reps are 'clarifying' her remarks...

I think I'd give her the benefit of the doubt, since people are tweeting her this... That they would yell it in the heat of the moment at a game isn't too far fetched...

Case and point. To try and judge the girl based on a limited character Twitter post and try and paint her as a liar is absurd. She obviously was hearing racial remarks and being booed and taunted along with the countless harassing racist messages online.
Her holding out the American logo on her jersey and putting her finger up to her lips is perfectly fine considering the harassment she has received. She didn't do anything vulgar and to be honest, by the way the Canadian fans and some of the players acted in London, it was beautiful to watch them eat shite for it in their own backyard.

I would have been shocked to find out that she hadn't had stuff like that tweeted to her, that place is a cesspool for that kind of thing.
I'm just going by the US Soccer people saying it wasn't in reference to anything that happened yesterday. She definitely seemed to be implying that it was a response to something that happened yesterday, but maybe she has heard something at some other point, I don't know.

Well, all in all... I don't think pointing to a crest and "shushing" is crossing some line of class... and IMO, considering abuse she was getting before and during (even assuming the abuse wasn't racial), it can be justified...

Like I said, I'm not sure I loved it, but it wasn't really that big of a deal to me.

I thought it was the perfect celebration for the moment. They were relentless from the moment she walked on the pitch and got exactly what was deserved.

Next World Cup is in Canada. Will she be up front with Baby Horse?
"Leroux says she was racially abused" by being called Judas.

Stewie, do you think Syd is just lying about it?
As for the celebration, come on man. She pointed at her badge. How is that any different from any other time an athlete has pointed at his team's logo. I see absolutely no harm in what she did. You're making it seem like she dropped her trousers, and took an actual shite on the field.
Come off your high horse, bro.
