no, EPL is bigger, by far (the Limeys were in that part of the world feeding them opium for beaucoup temp).

La Liga is revered as the home of quality (elaborate, technical) football. Real Madrid was always big, Barcelona as of about ten to fifteen years ago (the Chinese are enthralled with tiki taka, hence a great opportunity to make some pesetas).
