I have twins that are 4 and want to put them in soccer this fall.....which is the best.....Baton Rouge soccer or YMCA soccer?

My wife and I didn't play soccer in BR so we're not sure.

Thanks.

Nah, this is more of a parenting question. I think it's OT acceptable.

NO to YMCA.

BRSA. Baton Rouge Soccer Association. Offices by Independence park or on Gardere about 1/8 mile down from St Jude church, opposite side of the street.

Depends on where you live. There are also clubs in Zachary, Denham, Livingston, Port Allen, Gonzales, and I think Healing Place does upward. It's about convenience the first few years. If they like it then search out quality options.

Brsa is the way to go.. They play small side 4vs4 which greatly reduces the confusion and allows the kids to actual play soccer..no goalies either which helps keep up scoring

BRSA... If your kids keep playing soccer they will be embarrassed to say that they played YMCA.

I would say BRSA (unless you live by the Y off perkins).. the problem with BRSA at that age, they are no charging 75/player for the fall or 130/player for fall/spring... then you have go to 3rd coast and buy jerseys, then you have to find somewhere to practice since you can't practice at the Burbank complex. You can practice at Indy, but there are only a handful of small goals, and the nets will not be functional, I really should send them a bill for all the cable ties I put on them EVERY year.. and also the Indy fields will not be marked for the U5 size games..... all that said BRSA is still probably better than the Y simply for the fact BRSA will play only 4 vs 4

If they've ever played do BRSA. If not at 4 YMCA (Paula manship) would be fine Don't know if they'll like it yet.

Haha this is not true. Its all the same at that age. As long as they are getting out there and playing.

Have you ever seen the 4 year olds play soccer? All it is a mass of kids following a ball, kind of like MLS. At that age, it doesn't matter where you play. Once the kids get around age 6, then you should worry about the organization they are playing for.

This is the key to any little children program. at U-6 3v3 is even better.
