I thought the same thing. I almost did that. However, Dempsey can have a bigger impact in the mid than in the forward and Donovan is a better finisher. IMO.

I wouldn't mind that but I'd leave Johnson in instead of Shea. He's more of a central midfielder.
We need Gooch back. Quickly.
Our complete lack of replacements for Gooch and Boca is a bit disturbing. Goodson's terrible. I was a bit mystified by the Orozco thing but is he really any worse than Goodson? I'm not sure.
Ream can't defend. Yet (hopefully). Demerit's old and apparently out of the picture. Gonzalez is out of the picture for now. If Gooch can keep progressing he should be a lock for 2014 but will Boca be there? If not, who? Its a big problem. Its the biggest problem really.

I don't think Omar is out of the picture, I don't think Gooch's body will allow him to play in 2014.

I thought Dolo, Dempsey, Buddle and Johnson were quite good. Chandler's ok but his positioning is pretty bad at times. The only out and out bad performance was from Goodson IMO.

He completed a lot of passes, and didn't give the ball away in any bad spots. This board has gone full retard on Beckerman.

Also, Broski . . I read that Klinsmann prefers that Donovan be behind the strikers. So you're probably right. I dunno though.

But now Shea has seemed to have hit a wall form wise and we just looked good in more of a diamond so I'm not sure what we go to now. Obviously Landon and Clint will play somewhere.
