Pepe and Alves played very well. Thought Coentrao was the best Portuguese player. Ronaldo had a good match as well. The ref was quite awful, luckily no real controversies.

If I were a goalie I would tell myself I'm going to dive right every time no matter what (or left). You will surely get one save before the opposing team catches on.

Coentrao is awesome. Him and Modric (had not seen Luka enough to make a good impression) blew me away in the EUROS. It is crazy that he is not even the best left wing back on his club team. He is probably the second best in the world at his position.

Great CB pairing. I just felt like Pepe played a nearly perfect game. He was so determined to not let anything go.
Portugal is pretty damn close to the world's elite. I am really glad to see them play to their potential (I even picked them to go the semis - I got all four teams right). I wish they had one playmaking center mid to really put them over the top. Hopefully, Nelson Oliviera will step up and play up front by 2014 (at only 22).

which is what he said. it makes sense that it is 1% higher though. besides missing high (which means you suck dick), the penalty has to be saved for you to miss rather than going wide (you dont suck as much for doing that).

Unfortunately you can't just keep going down the middle, as keepers study patterns and after about 4-5 theyll just stand there and wait on it.
The true greatness is being able to place it perfectly in the corner every time. Where they just don't have a chance.
