Should Nagbe be a starter for the national team?

Yes. Yes he should be.

I mean he didn't look great or anything tonight, but I mean I can't argue that it wouldn't hurt to give him a shot at this point.

I like the idea of Fabian on the left wing and Darlington on the right wing, each taking turns drifting in and attacking with their skill set. This would have the added benefit of taking the 10 role away from Bradley and allowing him to be more of an 8, a role at which he is much more adept and valuable.

Yes, and he should play through the middle like he does with Portland.

We had no width when he played last night. He had some good runs but everything was either through the middle or Yedlin trying to win a foot race down the flank. IDK why Jurgen didn't move Orazco to LB slide Yedlin to RB. Go to a 4-2-3-1 with Zardez and Fj flanking Bradley or Nagbe.

Jozy is better in a 4231, but we might also chalk it up to Jurgen having no tactical sense.

Yedlin to the bench, imo.

What about a 4-3-3 with Altidore as a CF with his back to goal, Dempsey on his left, Wood on his right, Fabian on left behind Dempsey, Bradley in middle, Nagbe on right behind Wood?

I see us getting worked in the midfield in that formation.

That is a concern of mine as well.
However, we are essentially already getting worked in the midfield now. Opponents have no issue with maintaining possession and progressing with buildup.
A 4-3-3 would place significant burden on Fabian and Darlington/Bedoya on the wings to provide defense as well as attack. Their workload would be great. Still, I would be curious to see if Fabian, Bradley, and Nagbe (or Bedoya) would be up for it.
The back line would have to be solid too.

Jozy played the best ball of his life for alkmaar at the top of a 433. A midfield three of Bradley, Jones, and Nagbe would be solid. I would put Clint on left wing and let him play the role he did for Fulham. We would need someone reliable at left back though, which might mean Johnson.
