ETA: This board started as an after thought to the World Cup board. Posters like Leauxgan, crazy4lsu, BPG and KeysOpenDoors were the pioneers on the MSB for soccer posts. Hendo and tHenry as well. We all owe them a huge round of applause. Never met Keys or Thenry, but hopefully soon. I doff my hat to all of you, you are the real winners of this competition.

I'm about to get run out of the country in the U-20 thread...and glass is already writing his victory speech.
Lot of great names in there, glass. Part of me is glad to have been around for SB-only days, but another part of me would've love to see how soccer threads went down on the MSB.

I have enjoyed the few SB cluster bombs I've been a part of on the MSB when some idiot thinks that baseball is a much bigger sport worldwide than soccer...or saying that Lebron is a much bigger world icon than Ronaldo or Messi.

Yeah, I wasn't on the MSB soccer threads too much. I didn't start following the sport until around March 2009. I guess I had a year of MSB soccer threads before the World Cup Board popped up. There was some good conversation and I learned a lot (still don't feel like I'm as knowledgeable as most on here). It's better to not have all the "Soccer is gay/boring" posts but I had just about learned to ignore them and/or make them look silly by the time the World Cup/Soccer Board was born.
