There´s no difference between a pre Toronto signing, and post 8 July 2014 WC semi debacle Julio César. None, whatsoever.

Toronto FC certainly isn't signing Dante, Marcelo, Maicon and David Luiz anytime soon.
David Luiz.
$85 million well spent PSG.

This. His defense just sent to sleep today.

Every goalkeeper watching that match pities Cesar right now. Okay...some of us enjoyed seeing Brazil get wrecked, but we know how it feels to have a day like he did. And by that, I mean a day where you teammates just give you a giant "frick you" and hang you out to dry over and over and over again. If you think this hurts his value any, you're missing what happened. The only goal he messed up was the Klose one where he left the rebound in the middle of the goal instead of pushing it wide.

quote:True, but he should've done better on ~3 of them. It's easy to let the poor defending excuse Cesar's performance, but as far as I'm concerned, he was equally poor.

Just watched some highlights. Cesar was piss poor. He only made 1 good save that I remember, and that was when Germany were up 7-0.

You may be right. Maybe he should have done better. I wasn't watching a lot of replays, but it is awfully hard to play in goal when your defenders are giving the attackers so many options.
