SAF on Eden Hazard

After Chelsea purchased hazard, saf said he was over priced and would not be worth the money in the long run. If he was even being serious, how wrong or right was he?

He did get good value for Kagawa though... He wasn't wrong in that respect.

Yes and no. Potentially Kagawa's transfer for a mere 12mn represents a good value. But he has not done enough in this campaign to show that is the case. He has a meager 16 appearances with 5 goals. Hazard on the other hand has 50 Apperances, 12 goals, 17 assists. No comparison at all. Don't get me wrong, he is a great manager but it's SAF talking crap as usual after losing out.

He was hurt for an extended period of time. That has a lot to do with his 16 appearances.

I can agree with that. I guess I meant on potential... Kagawa has shown flashes of great play when he has gotten the chance.
He is no Eden Hazard though...

Being injury prone is something you have to take into account though. Might just be a fluke thing this year but I would be worried if Chelsea signed a guy and he missed nearly half of his first season in the Pl with injuries.
The durability Hazard has shown, which was a huge concern of mine, despite how often he has played and how often he gets fouled has been pretty remarkable.

Agreed.
Kagawa has disappointed me a bit this year, but I'll reserve judgement until he plays more matches in a season.

My point exactly. It is possible that Kagawer is a good buy but he hasn't shown enough yet to suggest he is. Old man Alex was just taking a piss after losing out on Hazard.

Kagawa has shown flashes of brilliance, his hat trick against Norwich may be the top EPL performance this season.
He can be bossed around when matched up against a physical player though.
