I'm pretty sure none of those guys families originated in France or Belguim. They may have immigrated there from Africa, but hey are we arguing nuances?

I mean, they're all black, I suppose. That said, in a sport where you choose your international allegiance, it's important to be specific. You call Jermaine Jones German to his face and see what happens? He'll kick you or some shite.

I disagreed with a good amount of points, but I enjoyed reading your original opinion on this.

I'm in the same position as the OP (new to the football thing) and while I would much rather watch La Liga, I watch more of the EPL because of its accessibility on TV and the NBC coverage reminds me of the major leagues in the US. Hence I know more about the EPL than La Liga.

But the two times last year when El Clasico was on, I tried my best to watch on-line. Wish Fox had taken La Liga instead of the German league.

Lukaku, Saku, Bony, Benteke, Gomis - this seems to be trend, big, powerful, skilled African fowards.

It's not a trend, in the sense that every team since 1995 has wanted big forwards with size and technique.

ETA - maybe BeIn isn't easy, but Fox is.

Dude. You can watch every single BPL match every week, in HD on your TV for the price of whatever it costs to have NBC sports network on your cable provider. No other league in the world offers that kind of access in the US in such a straightforward manner.
