Just a few facts about the country that plans on hosting 2022.

Honestly I bet you would have a better experience if the SEC put on the World Cup and the stadiums hosted the games. What a farce.

Per the CIA:
Area - comparative:
slightly smaller than Connecticut

Major urban areas - population:
DOHA (capital) 567,000 (2011)

Population:
2,123,160 (July 2014 est.)
country comparison to the world: 146

The state of Mississippi would probably be a better host for the world cup than Qatar.

There is plenty of money to build the stadiums in Qatar and likely the UAE. The bigger issue is that you are about to play an immensely draining game in the desert in the summer. Basically, They will have to have retractable roof stadiums as that is the only way i can see them being able to play during the day. Otherwise the cleats may start melting to the turf...

And ... for those of us who have had really shitty R&R experiences ... Camp something or another was right outside Doha, Qatar.

It's a country in the Middle East. I don't care how much money they have.

It's still hot and sucks.... plus, there are not only a lot of middle easterners ... but also a lot of ethiopians and somalis that do all the work that no Qatari would do.

I watched the LSU 3OT loss to Arky 50-48 in 2007 there ... damn you Hog bastards ... Nutt, McFadden, all of them ... one of the worst nights of my life. CSB ... yeah.

I think you mean Indo-Pak's as far as the labor pool is concerned. Nalso, fun fact, when I was in Dubai in May I read in the local newspaper that 1,600 people had died to date building the stadiums for th WC.
