Yahoo Sport can exclusively reveal that Paris Saint German have started negotiations with Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone to replace current incumbent Laurent Blanc.

Lol, but hey, at least Man utd was able to bring in Jose. PSG want CL glory, Simeone will be their chance to win it.

A few snippets from Al-Khelafi's interview with Le Parisien.

quote:

Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi did not offer any backing to coach Laurent Blanc as he called for "a new cycle" and "big changes" in the French capital.

"Two hours before the return leg in Manchester [PSG lost 3-2 on aggregate to Manchester City], I knew we were going to lose. I did not feel anything from the players and I said to a member of staff they were not ready to fight.

Al-Khelaifi subsequently labelled the 2015-16 season a "failure" and suggested it is not just in the dugout where "wholesale changes" could take place.

"Honestly, I think we failed this season despite trophies at a national level. We did not meet our European target, so it's a bad season," he said.

Without Zlatan around to just blow people away he's going to be invaluable next season in getting Cavani good service

Also hearing PSG may be close to signing Coutinho to play the other wing with Edison sliding up front.

if DS runs anything like he did at atleti, i can't see AdM having the discipline required

It's possible, we'll just have to wait and see, DS would have to adjust tactically, no way the hyper-defensive counter attack style would fly at PSG. Not sure if ADM's mentality would be a problem, he seems to really enjoy life in Paris so I don't think it would be a situation like he had in England.

At the very least moving to PC tells me Nasser has finally given up on the Neymar or Ronaldo dream, at least for now.
