Last night was Andrea Pirlo's last professional soccer match.

Although he wasn't anything close to his time in Italy.

He's still a straight bad arse and I would like to post this in appreciation of The Maestro

Pirlo is the worst DP in MLS history, and he cost his team the chance to win MLS Cup.

He did not give a frick and it hurt them bad.

Theres a video out there of him defending a corner.

Very Daria-esque in his attempt to stop it.

He was so good for a lot of years in Europe. He was one of my favorite guys to watch for a long time, but his time in MLS really made me start to resent him. He legitimately made NYCFC worse, and he didn't care at all.

I can't get behind this because off the pitch still a complete bad arse.

Never got the chance to run into him here, but have a few friends who have.

Said he was really nice and took pics with them.
Also doesn't hurt that majority of the city had no idea who he was and pretty much just fit in. I think he liked that a lot.

Also liked living in one of the nicest neighborhoods in NYC.

It was clear at the end of his last season at Juventus that his body couldn't take it. Maybe he couldn't keep up physically and was already retired in his head.

He's still a prince. He started my love affair with DLP's. Especially diminutive DLP's with sublime technique.

His no look pass to Grosso to win the Germany game was amazing.

I find it kind of hilarious that Nordic Messi will forever be the first goalscorer in NYCFC's history. A lasting legacy.
