There's been a lot of anti-Pep sentiment on the internet. I'm not going to act like he's my favorite person in the world. He's an egomaniacal a-hole, but he's an incredibly brilliant man. If City gets him, they'll win in Europe for the first time. They'll compete for more Premier League titles and they'll probably have a lot of stories come out about star players loving him and other star players hating him. He's polarizing because not everyone appreciates they way he motivates and how sure he is of himself.
Bayern is currently dealing with a lot of injuries and the roster isn't exactly beautifully constructed. A lot of it is his fault but there are some things that shouldn't be blamed on him. Most clubs would consider it a success to win their league and make it to the semis of the Champions League, I know City definitely would.

I have. I was going to say he has a job until next Wednesday, at least. But I think they overturn the 2-1 and advance to the final. It's pretty retarded that a guy might lose his job a year after winning the Champions League.

Carlo would be interesting at City but it really depends, bc that roster has been so poorly managed that any one coming in is going to have to break FFP spending and or use their youth players who are not ready.
Carlo is not known for playing youth. City need to get younger and they need English players.

I'm not saying they'll win the Champions League but they wouldn't embarrass themselves, which would be a marked improvement.

Fair point, but I mean it's Pep 0 opponents 8 in his last 3 CL semi games. For a team with that much talent that's kind of embarrassing.

Let's not act like this is a full Bayern squad he's working with though. With both Robben and Ribery hurt, attacking options are pretty scarce.

Were Guardiola to go to City, it would be because they´ve consensually pacted many precise squad changes and milestones.
He´s not going there because it´s a place that delivers a big payday. He needs more, and they won´t get him without pacting a project, the acquisitions that correspond, and a timeframe.

Valencia might back out on the Negredo deal which basically funded buying Bony, as for the other players City won't get any big money for them esp the players over 30 or almost 30.

no it was a write off, that could offset earlier crazy spending.
What will help City is the tv money in years to come and their shady sponsorship deal. Their match day revenue is still behind United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. City still might spend 150+ but they would fail FFP probably and be fined even more and slapped with more restrictions in following years.
The squad needs a major overhaul so they might just say frick it anyway, but they knew this day would come due to shitty management. They also need home grown players.

Its pretty well known their sponsorship deals are over inflated and tied to the owner to help them with FFP. But UEFA said it was ok bc they were not absurd like PSG's were. PSG actually brought in over 400 million pounds this last year.
City's match day revenue is still lacking
