Essien was hurt all the time at Chelsea. It scares me to think how many games he will end playing this years especially with our awesome medical staff.

A guy on a City board says that City have been in talks with Barcelona for the last few days. No idea of the player(s) being discussed.

That's a name I'd want on a back of a kit.
From what I can tell, he's climbed up the Spanish football ladder. Started as a youth at Bilbao, got released, played third division. Signed by Betis in 2010, helped them get back to the top flight. Been a consistent starter for them ever since.

I would have guessed Dani Alves but now that they've signed Maicon that would be a bit redundant.
Other possibilities anyone? Cesc perhaps? Did the guy say a player was moving from Barca to City or vice-versa? I know Yaya has talked about going back to Barca before.
