Checking in on the hype train. Let's keep the party going!

I'm still on a bit of a high, even though things have largely calmed down... Just waiting to see the officially Klopp/Ancelloti announcement so we can celebrate some more

FWIW, I have seen way more in the way of Klopp than I have Ancelotti. I hope they are right, because Klopp seems like the more loyal and fiery of the two. I feel like Ancelotti would be tougher to replace and keep what he built after a few years than Klopp would be.

Oh I agree wholeheartedly, but at this point I'll take either of them...
I've also been seeing more of the Klopp stuff, but there are several links to Ancelloti too.
Also, Brendan Rodgers to Sunderland?

Agreed, I would prefer Klopp. But The Mestro is a legend. Both managers have strengths and draw backs. Either one would be a massive get for this club.

And we didn't have to actually lose today for Rodgers to get the ax. Do you think he would still be manager had we won today? I kind of doubt it, personally. Looks very much like this decision had already been made, confirming the rumors going around the last week or so.

Yup. Happy with either. But I want Klopp.

Everyone ITK said he was done regardless of what transpired today.

So Ayre visited Brendan at his home to give him the ax. They said he took it in a dignified way.
As much as I've disliked Brendan, he was in over his head. Now that he's gone I feel bad. And I can't really put my finger on it. He was stubborn and refused to play people in their natural position. And yet I still feel bad. I hope he lands on his feet and makes it somewhere.
Joe Allen right now

I was reading earlier (and I'm not sure who wrote it or when) about all the things Rodgers did to make the players such big fans of him, and give him such big backing from the club.
One was how he called all the players' mothers and asked them to write something down during the title challenge stretch, and the last words going into the tunnel from the locker room were the words of a player's mom read by Rodgers. Meant a lot to all of the players, especially Coutinho being that he is Brazilian.
Another was Rodgers calling the family of a well known fan after he passed away, as well as writing a letter.
Another was when Hendo's father broke the news to his son about having cancer. Rodgers happily met with Hendo's dad and gave Hendo time off for his family to deal with the news. I believe that was from the '13 season.
I always thought Rodgers was a good dude, but I don't know that he was ready for a rebuild at this point in his career. Hopefully he catches somewhere sooner than later, because I like the guy and will be pulling for him.
ETA: Had to add a lulz because of that Joe Allen related gif.

I wish Rodgers well but it is a great relief to have him gone. Hoping for Klopp because he would probably stay a little while longer, and he has proven to do more with less, while Ancelotti typically managed stacked squads.

I really wish y'all would go with Carlo so if Roman gets impatient and fires Mourinho, Klopp will still be around
Part of me thinks this may have played into the timing of it... I wouldn't doubt it..
