I have read contradicting explanations. I honestly have no clue how it works.
EDIT: LINK next summer (2015) AM will have the option to recall him, and pay a fee. If they don't, then in 2016 LFC will have the option to buy him permanently.

He's 28 now, and coming off a major knee injury. Not sure I would be willing to splurge for him. He certainly won't come cheap.

A lot of rumors were loan with option to buy. I understand the concern for his knee but supposedly he looked good against arsenal the other day, but I didn't see.
