Why? Guzan's only good in games where the opposing team is constantly on the attack. He frequently losses focus and is not good with his feet. I don't think he's nearly a good enough keeper to warrant paying extra money for.

Yeah I hear you, but I think that if fans aren't going to watch a good team, they probably aren't going to go watch just to see a former star player either.

He's one of the top 2 American keepers. You can't get a much better keeper to come to MLS. If we weren't going to pay that much for Guzan, then I'd rather pay for another center mid or a true #10. We were able to get some really good CBs, for MLS standards, without breaking the bank.

Name the last time Brad Guzan played on a team that dominated the attack.

Yo WSE, did you ever get a jersey?

I'm thinking about getting a Villalba jersey, y'all think I should get Martinez instead?

I mean, if you told every MLS team that they could have Pirez, Loyd, Parkhurst, Robinson, Walkes, and Larentowicz as CBs, how many teams do you think would turn that down?

That's an inconsistent comparison. Obviously Guzan's Villa teams were awful, but that doesn't mean he's facing tons and tons of shots every single game.

The guy had one of the worst save percentages in all of Europe and the Villa fans hated him. He was so bad his final year at Villa, Mark Bunn replaced him for several fixtures.

I'd just like to have more strength and size in the team, and the center backs seem very small. A strong holding mid would do as well.

Our injured baw Josef was named MLS Player of the Month for March. Any word on if he'll be ready for the home game on 4/30 or will it be after?

AJC said he's out 3-5 more weeks.
Maybe he'll be ready for the DC game

Looking forward to this one. Going up against Altidore and Giovinco we should get a good sense of what this back four is really made of. Really wish we had Josef, but our internationals will be back in the starting XI so pretty close to full strength.
