In CONCACAF, the qualifying region for this part of the world, it's the only tournament. Of course, there are some really shitty teams involved, but it's still our equivalent to the major international tournaments in the other regions. Which doesn't make it important in the minds of outsiders, I guess. But theoretically, it is an important tournament, if not a major one.
