Both clubs were founded for good reason but tribalism, religion and other factors fricked it all. Its 2012 not the 50's or even the 80's. Seeing Celtic fans in the 20's hate the british military that keeps them safe is fricking dumb.

I get what you're saying, but not everyone may see British citizenship as a beneficial privilege. Some see it as a usurping of sovereignty and a lack of quality and meaningful representation in governing themselves.

It's football. There will ALWAYS be tribalism. No matter what happens. It only gets worse between two cultures that have been at odds with each other for the better half of the last 500 years.

And just because it's 2012 doesn't mean those ideals mean any less than they did 100 years ago. The Poles still jeer against the Russians, China butts heads with Japan, India and Pakistan loathe each other.

thats my point though you are at war with someone even win your independence end up living there for various reasons and 100 years later hate the country you live in and wish harm on the very men and women that keep you safe some even being celtic fans. It just blows my mind the lack of rational thinking.
