I wouldn't place anyone ahead of them right now. Akron under Porter was great, but no more. Virginia has an awesome program along with Indiana, but Maryland is tops IMO.
ETA: Reid's little brother is fricking good, he will definitely be playing for the Terps soon.

honestly that's what i thought, but since i dont follow ncaa soccer i didnt want to make a definitive statement like that and end up looking dumb

awesome, i would expect nothing less. great genes both physically and mentally
edit: would you forecast a playing career post college for him? at any level, not necessarily usmnt or europe. would love to have a usmnt'er with tiger roots, with all the love his brother gets, you'd have to think he'd have played for lsu if possible

unc is still ahead of maryland fwiw. they have made like 4 of 6 final fours with a natty in there. if maryland doesnt win, then unc is 100% above maryland.
ETA: wow didnt see the other maryland natty in like 05. closer than i thought. ill still take unc as a current program. maryland winning this one might put em ahead though.

It's hard to say, he definitely has the physical tools to be a pro if he puts the work in. I played against him alot growing up so I can also assure you that his work ethic and attitude are both great. He needs to avoid injury and soak up everything he can in college. I could see him in the MLS for sure.
As for Europe and/or USMNT, that is impossible to forecast.

Last year was the first championship UNC won in 10 years. Maryland won 3 in that same span I believe, one was against UNC. Virginia won like 5 in a row in the 90's when Bruce Arena was there.
The ACC as a whole is stacked though. Wake is good too.

it's soccer though, not football or basketball. but yeah maryland is first after further looking. they are the top 2 though for sure.

He was primarily a striker, but I'm not sure what he's doing at Maryland. He's pretty tall, 6'0 I think, so he has good size to be a target in the box. He's good on the ball too. He's at his best when he can turn, take a touch to get space, and shoot in the 18-25 yard range. He needs to be in the centre for sure.

I'm guessing Reid will be an outside back for MD. Not very technical but a ton of pace and athleticism.

Just to follow up on this, I talked to a buddy of mine that keeps in touch with him and little Reid is a striker on the current roster and practices for that position. It isn't definitive if he will stay there though.
