Again, I agree, I am not a VAR hater I was commenting on it taking away from the natural flow.

Maybe. Each team is missing a playmaker to carry them. England's midfield isn't very good. Their frontline is great though.

Biased opinion here, but if Harry Winks can progress he'd be a good holding midfielder for England.
He wont score many goals or have many assist, but he can control the tempo of a game and help the team retain the ball.

I think all Netherlands is missing is a true striker. I'm not sure if they have a young one coming through the system or not but if they do they will be a real problem at the next WC

Dutch need a better finisher/striker.

Bring RVP back now don’t care how old he is would have finished 3-4 of those blown chances at the end.

Paul Scholes, Michael Carrick and Jack Wilshere could have done that but they generally couldn't find places in the England team, one because of formation, one who wasn't selected very often and the other because of perpetual injury. Winks is probably international quality, but England doesn't have a good track record of including midfielders who like to recycle possession.

Maybe. But Memphis was dropping deep as hell in the second half, which indicates the Netherlands are missing that link player. Superb rotation around midfield though, but the space between the lines is there. Memphis is as profligate as any player I've seen, though, but in truth they haven't created very many opportunities for him.

He's had two good chances in ET that has shown he isn't a striker
