He's probably afraid if he gives a reason some crybaby will get upset and start whining about how wrong he is.

Roll your eyes all you want. Until you've been you have no room to talk.

I have found most "historical" venues to be shite holes. That being said, if it was my team, I'd probably have a slightly different view. When I went to Yankee Stadium (old) I couldn't believe how shitty the inside of the place was. It was cool and historic and all, but pretty beat up on the inside.

Fulham was a historical venue. Loved the stadium. The atmosphere. The fans. Everything but the tiny arse doors, and I'm small.

I love that its shitty, and Anfield is certainly shitty. But its a "been around for over a century" shitty. It's not beat up by any means. Its actually really nice, but definitely shitty in the sense that its not going to be covered with amenities like The Emirates or The Etihad.

Get out of here with that rah rah bullshite argument bro. You sound like the type that gets worked up if some ESPN writer leaves TS out of the Top 5 in college football.

And why do I have to go? One of my good friends has a THIS IS ANFIELD sign in his room and he's never been. That's what's silly.

You have to go a game before you can be a fan.

That is fricking stupid.

Yeah, beat up was a poor word choice. It was just old. It was cool, because it was historic, but other than that, very shitty. I saw some of the Anfield stuff on being Liverpool and you have to have a special kind of player to come there over a club with better facilities. That's a good and bad thing at the same time.

Meh most players today will go to any club that pays them the most.

It's not like Zenit St. Petersburg is known for a sterling venue. PSG still play in the antiquated Parc de Princes in Paris, but that's not stopping anyone from taking their mega-millions. Until recently Stamford Bridge needed a facelift.

Arsenal have the best facilities of any club in the world bar maybe a few, but that doesn't stop players from leaving.

Yeah, but Liverpool isn't paying anyone the most. That's my point.

I've read this about 5 times and have no idea what it means.

To be fair, Anfield is just where they play their actual games.

By "better facilities" I'm assuming you mean where they train, which would be Melwood. And from everything I've gathered through text and photos, it is nice. Might not be Manchester City nice, but it seems to be very clean and modern.

Exactly. I doubt the shape of the locker room in the stadium they will be playing in weighs too heavily on their mind while trying to pick a club to play for.

I feel silly for having to explain this since I don't really care all that much. I think that Liverpool fans go overboard with circle jerking over the mystique aspect of the club. Anfield is one of those things. The other Liverpool guy got all mad n shite and made the asinine comment that I shouldn't ever have an opinion on this phenomenon because I've never been to a game at Anfield. I then responded that a lot of their supporters, including my friend, who has never been there, gives himself a reacharound about Anfield, YNWA, etc., all the time.

I would like to reiterate that while I dont care for Liverpool I don't care that much at all probably since I am a noob and haven't had enough time as a fan to become emotionally invested in the Premier League. I just find that all a bit silly.

I don't even know what that's supposed to mean.

Bro.

You don't have to go. Its just amusing to hear someone ridicule the atmosphere of a place they've never been to in their entire life.
