Shhhhhhhh! Roma may only be a few more months of 76% possession leading to 4-0 deficits from bringing Luciano back from the tundra.

Yes, I'm going to Boston, then Baltimore... Looking forward to it...

I thought Liverpool looked pretty good under Kenny at the end of last year. I remember being quite confident Fulham would beat them at the Cottage last year and they came in and won something like 5-2. Their pressing and passing was really pretty good.

Haven't seen anything like that this year. Some of the buys have been poor, obviously. Not sure why they let Meireles go, unless he just wanted to go.

But he would be a dead man walking at this point if he wasn't a Liverpool legend, cup performance or not. Hasn't done much better than Hodgson when you look at the league standing.

He's actually done much worse. Points wise that is. And form wise. And everything else wise I guess, besides the cup.

I thought there were many nice places. The city was clean and safe, and the people were as nice and helpful as anywhere I've been in England. I think there is a stereotype about the city and the people that everyone is so quick to jump on board with and it really is a shame.

Hull is essentially the northeast version of Liverpool. It's consistently rated as one of the worst cities in England, but after living there it's not that bad. The UK has a relatively low violent crime rates, but most foreigners are unaware of this. The problem with Northern cities like Hull, Liverpool, Sunderland is that they were hastily constructed in an non-aesthetically pleasing way following the war.

Northerners are friendly people, but are often undereducated or unemployed leading to some stereotyping. Not to mention very few people outside of Beatles fans and LFC supporters make an effort to travel to Liverpool. I don't know if a single person has ever willingly taken a vacation to Hull, besides maybe some poor sacks from Grimsby.

I'm not a fan of Liverpool, part of it is I don't like a few of their players, but also because I'm a Hodgson homer (he SAVED us, seriously we were gone without him). I don't think he ever really got a fair shake from the fans (you probably will disagree).

Not saying he was the right guy though, or that he did a great job fwiw. But it didn't help that he took over when Torres just lost it.

To bring this back on topic (slightly) as well as to broaden the topic, I'd like to vote for Mario Jardel as most underrated player ever. Won the European Golden Boot twice, and once scored 54 goals in a season, and 55 in another. Only 10 caps for Brazil.

Jimmy McGrory. 62 goals in a season, 550 goals in his career. 7 caps.

While impressive, Jardel was scoring goals in a much more competitive environment.

Its not the most tourist friendly place, but the row houses, for the most part, are well kept. The cathedrals (especially the Anglican one) are gorgeous. The streets were clean. It just didn't strike me as that terrible of a place to live or raise your family. Especially with the sense of identity the people have and their southern-american style hospitality.

Fire Kenny

This is right.

He has zero concept in managing modern football.

This is wrong.

Sell Carroll for pennies on the dollar: Carroll's career tract looked phenomenal when he was at Newcastle. He just bombed at Anfield.

This is hysterical. It really shows how few Liverpool matches you have watched.

quote:

Give Gerrard an ultimatum: He needs to stay healthy, or risk losing his captaincy and assured starting role. He's getting a pass for lousy performance and constant injuries.

What is the ultimatum you are suggesting?

quote:

Either sell Suarez to an overpaying bidder or keep him on a short leash.

This is stupid, but typical from someone like you.

quote:

Get rid of Downing, Henderson etc.

quote:

Figure out a way to either renovate Anfield, or build a new stadium.

What does this have to do with the squad again?

quote:

I don't have a vendetta against Liverpool as a club.

Yes you do. I've read your posts over the past few months and you have taken shots against Liverpool at virtually every opportunity you have gotten.

quote:

They seem to think that Liverpool is still one of the elite brand names in world football, when they're not even in the top 3 in England.

:rotflmao:

Seriously, what are you smoking? I want some.

Yo Bleed, has Arteta been mentioned? Without his play Arsenal are looking up at Newcastle, Tottenham and Pool.

Arsenal isn't playing man. The company would be great, but my passion wouldn;t be the same.

Thanks for the offer.

Rodrigo Palacio is a pretty under rated winger / second striker. Maybe somewhat due to that ridiculous ponytail.

Getting up there in years, I suppose, but still has excellent pace. I think he probably 2 or 3 good seasons if a top club were to take a chance.
